This custom-built Ford Transit camper van for Ruth and Kathy was designed to support their dream road trips with the perfect balance of comfort, style, and practicality. Built for two, the layout maximises space while maintaining a warm, inviting feel throughout the van.
Smart Layout & Flexible Sleeping
A sliding bed system allows the space to transform throughout the day, converting into additional seating when the bed is pushed back. This flexible design maximizes interior space and makes the van comfortable for both relaxing and sleeping. Swivel seats further open up the living area, creating a functional and social interior.
Thoughtful Storage & Kitchen Space
Storage is built in throughout the van, including pull-out gear storage under the bed, overhead cabinets, and under-counter drawers. A 100L fridge keeps food and drinks cold for longer trips, while the kitchen layout provides plenty of prep and storage space for life on the road.
Off-Grid Power & Utilities
This camper van is equipped with 400Ah lithium batteries, 400W solar panels and 3000W inverter charger for reliable power wherever they go. A 100L water tank, 12V water heater, and Dry Flush toilet allow for comfortable, extended travel without relying on campground facilities and the Espar heater ensures warmth in cooler conditions.
Exterior Features & Finishing Touches
On the exterior, a roof rack and rear door ladder provide easy access to additional storage, while a Fiamma awning creates a shaded outdoor living space. Inside, a cedar ceiling adds warmth and natural character, completing the van’s cozy, modern feel.
