Story

This build was already envisioned before we saw the van, kind of like a baby you know you're having but haven't met yet. We knew from the get go that we wanted a modern chic style that screamed comfort, and a white & wooden colour palette.

With the plan to spend the summer chasing adventures on Vancouver Island, we knew we needed a space where we could be comfortable when escaping the inevitable rainy weather the island is renowned for. With perfect movie day weather in mind, we installed a projector setup to transform the van into a mini cinema. A short queen size bed was fitted alongside an L shaped couch, with a front passenger swivel seat allowing us to have a dinner party of up to five.

As well as being renowned for rain, the island also offers so many outdoor activities, which is why we opted for a huge storage space under the bed to fit our 2 person inflatable kayak, hiking and biking equipment and all the other little bits and pieces required for an epic summer.

Keeping in mind we were going to encounter long rainy periods we built an electrical system that packs a punch without breaking the bank. 200 amp hour AGM batteries, 3000-watt inverter, 40 amp DCDC charger, 40 amp solar controller, 200 watts of solar and a shore power hook up.

Fitted with a propane shower, toilet, stove, oven, 40-litre dometic fridge, lagun swivel table, 100-litre water tank and propex heater. This van is built to live comfortably in all four seasons.
